Filentés Lens is a Chicago based photography business created by Aaron Joseph Caston (Aj) in 2023. Aj specializes in Portrait, Wedding, Street, Documentary, Architectural, Product, Fashion, and Sport photography. After falling in love with filmmaking and telling stories through moving images in 2020, he shortly after fell in love with telling stories through the still image. Through his years of practicing photography, he also studies the works of Gordon Parks, Andrei Tarkovsky, W. Eugene Smith, and Mary Ellen Mark just to name a few. Although some individuals have their niche when it comes to photography, Aj feels he doesn't fall into the same category as those individuals. Instead, he feels that he has the same amount of love for all aspects of photography. It's all "telling a story" to him. The bottom line is that, in this world there are many ways to tell a story and the one way that Aj loves to tell stories the most is through the image. It's more than a passion and more than a calling for him.
